The Big Toddle!
Romford Shopping Hall in conjunction with Romford BID are hosting a “Big Toddle” event which will take place on Saturday 17th June to raise money for Barnardo’s, a children's charity that protects and supports children and young people all over the UK.
Between 10am – 2pm on the day, families will also be to enjoy a whole host of free activities at the event including a craft corner, face painting, balloon modelling, animal encounters and photo opportunities.
The Big Toddle sponsored walk will include two laps of the market place, setting off at 1pm. The event is aimed at under 5’s although older siblings are welcome to join in, and all participants will receive a medal on the day. Children are welcome to complete the walk activity in fancy dress, although this is optional.
Visitors on the day will also have the chance to get involved in a Bug Hotel and Bird Box making workshop. Their creations will contribute to a new Bug Garden, a welcoming new environmental space in Romford Town designed to encourage diversity of marvellous minibeasts who help to support Romford’s ecological system.
