The Romford Food Festival
Romford BID is pleased to announce it will be hosting its first Food Festival over the May bank holiday weekend.
The Romford Food Festival will take place on Sunday, May 26th, between 10am and 6pm and Monday, May 27th, between 10am and 3pm.
Visitors to the event will be able to enjoy a host of culinary delights and activities in Marketplace and along South Street, with additional activities planned for The Liberty, Romford Shopping Hall, and The Brewery Shopping Centres.
Save the date and get ready to tantalise your tastebuds and experience a host of free entertainment and activities.
The Food Festival will be free to attend, and there is no need to pre-book.

Biscuit Decorating Workshops
The super talented and sweet team from Cakeybakeydoodaa will be hosting FREE biscuit-decorating workshops for all ages at The Liberty Shopping Centre. There will be two workshops on Sunday, May 26th, and three sessions on Monday, May 27th. Click here to book your space.
Bake Off Competition
Calling all budding bakers! This is your chance show off your skills at our Bake Off competition which will be hosted on Monday May 27th.
To get involved, make and bake your most impressive 2 tier sponge cake (flavours, designs, fillings and decorations welcome!) and bring it along to the Bake Off registration Marquee*, located near Market Link (outside B&M) on Monday May 27th between 11am – 1pm. The competition will be judged by a panel of tasting experts and winners will be announced in the marquee by Time FM’s Mark Dover at 2pm. Prizes will include your very own Bake Off Winner apron and a hamper of goodies!
The competition is free to enter, and all ages and experiences are welcome.
Dog Show and Competition
We’re excited to announce the paw-fect addition to the Food Festival, Romford’s first Dog Show competition will take place on Sunday May 26th between 10am-12pm in the Marketplace. Bring your furry friend along on the day to register and get involved.
The entry fee is £1.50 per category, and all money raised goes to the local charity Scruffy's Angels, which supports animals in need.
Competition Categories will include;

- Golden Oldie (7 years+)
- Adult (1-6years)
- Crossbreed
- Pedigree
- Waggiest Tail
- Handsome Prince
- Prettiest Princess
- Best Trick
- Fancy Dress

Prizes include gift vouchers and an amazing Doggy hamper for our Best in Show Winner.
