Tracey

My name is Tracey. I am a Romford town Ambassador. I have been in my job role since September 2019.

My usual day consists of going out to report back on how to make Romford safer and cleaner.  I have a list of businesses I visit once a month where we discuss their issues such as anti-social behaviour, security and cleanliness. We are also walking information points, so we will always do our very best to get the information the public might want.

There are some great places to shop we have 5 shopping malls were you can find some great gifts and ideas. If your looking to relax we have some great places to eat with a wide variety of food on offer. There are coffee mornings for O.A.P’s where you can go for a chat and meet new people, and we also have a new and exciting indoor soft play coming to town.

We have had some special events going on since I started my role. We have had The Nutcracker Christmas Trail for the children this year around Romford which was really popular and a unique experience for the town. The BID supported the Christmas Lights Switch On this year and as a Host I got to appear on the stage for the light switch on countdown.

I would recommend Havering Museum as a place to visit. This is where you can find all of Romford’s rich history or visit one of their many exhibitions. Also, for those of you who have a sweet tooth, one of Romford’s best kept secrets is the churros stall that is outside Braza, on the corner of Exchange street - they are AMAZING!! It's only there twice a week but well worth a try with a friendly service.
