Romford BID is excited to announce that they will be hosting a litter picking event in Romford Town centre on Saturday 8th June.
The BID is working in partnership with The Romford Town Wombles and looking for volunteers of all ages to take part in a litter picking activity, which will take place in Romford Town Centre between 11am and 1pm.
Volunteers should head to the meeting point outside Tollgate House, ready for an 11am start. Some equipment will be available to use for the litter pick, but volunteers are encouraged to bring along any litter pickers that they may have to use for the litter pick.
At the end of the litter pick volunteers will be given a voucher to use with selected food traders on Romford Market for a hot drink and a roll.
Julie Frost, Romford BID Director said, “We have a host of fantastic local businesses and community groups in Romford who are actively working to help make a change and make our town a cleaner, more environmentally conscious place to be. Our litter picking events don’t only help make a difference, they’re also a lot of fun so please do come along and get involved on the day and help keep Romford tidy.”
